Governor Sisolak Shares Second Term Priorities with Mexican Federations

Today, Governor Sisolak met with Mexican Federations in Southern Nevada to discuss his first term accomplishments and second term priorities.

“Our state and economy is at its strongest when we work together and keep our communities open and welcoming to all,” said Governor Steve Sisolak. “I look forward to working with our Federations in my second term to keep costs low for families, support Latino small business owners and entrepreneurs and ensure our state remains a place where Nevadans can thrive.”

Since taking office, Governor Sisolak has supported Nevada’s Latino community by creating the Office for New Americans, streamlining the occupational and professional licensing processes to support immigrant entrepreneurs, funding schools at their highest levels in state history, establishing a public health care option to lower the cost of care, and signing the English Language Learners Bill of Rights to support every student in every classroom.

In a second term, Governor Sisolak will continue lowering the cost of health care, housing, and child care while investing in education, supporting entrepreneurs, advocating for comprehensive immigration reform at the federal level, signing legislation to keep our communities open and welcoming, and growing our economy.
