ICYMI: Sisolak Campaign Stockpiles More Cash on Hand Than GOP Field Combined

Governor Sisolak garnered unprecedented support from every Nevada county and all 50 states

This week, the Sisolak for Governor campaign announced its record-breaking fundraising numbers headed into 2022 – $4.45 million raised, with $8.28 million cash on hand. These totals are both the largest amount raised in an off-year and the largest cash on hand total for an incumbent Nevada governor.

The Sisolak campaign received nearly 13,500 donations from all 17 Nevada counties and all 50 states, including the District of Columbia, demonstrating statewide enthusiasm and national recognition of this high-stakes race. Donors included educators, law enforcement officers, union members, and frontline workers.

Contributions of $100 or less made up 86% of donations last year underscoring strong grassroots support.

But don’t just take our word for it…

  • Sisolak announced on Tuesday that he has raised $4.5 million in the calendar year 2021, and has $8.28 million cash on hand. That’s in spite of the fact that for more than half of the year, he was barred from fundraising because of “blackout periods” in and around legislative sessions.
  • When announcing its totals last week, Lombardo’s campaign touted the haul as “more than any Democrat or Republican candidate in Nevada history has ever raised in a non-election year,” although that record was broken with Sisolak’s announcement Tuesday.
