Today, the Sisolak for Governor campaign announced it has accepted two debate invitations ahead of the November 2022 election. In June, the Sisolak campaign committed to two general election debates, with one debate taking place in Northern Nevada and at least one debate broadcasted by a Spanish-language media outlet.
The first debate, co-hosted by KLAS and Univision, will take place at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on October 18th. It will air live on KLAS, Univision, and KTVN in Reno.
The second debate, co-hosted by KOLO and KVVU, will take place at the University of Nevada-Reno on a date to be determined by the organizers.
“Governor Sisolak looks forward to sharing his plans to continue growing our economy, lowering costs for families and improving Nevada schools in his second-term,” said Sisolak for Governor Campaign Manager Sam Barrett. “The contrast between Governor Sisolak’s record advocating for hardworking Nevadans and Joe Lombardo’s failed, corrupt tenure couldn’t be more clear. It’s time Joe Lombardo finally answers for the rising crime on his watch, his extreme plans to overturn Nevadans’ abortion protections and his intention to put more guns in our schools and communities.”
If partner stations have not received acceptance notices from Joe Lombardo’s campaign by close of business (6PM PT) Friday, August 19th, the Sisolak Campaign will consider Lombardo’s silence as a refusal to participate in these debates.
